604 Update

We are thrilled to announce a very exciting development for WVBR and the Cornell Radio Guild: a brand new home in Collegetown! WVBR has purchased a building at 604 East Buffalo Street in Ithaca, on the corner of Stewart Avenue. Our new facility will feature brand new studios and offices that are larger and much more convenient for our student staff. We're very excited, and you should be too!

Be part of WVBR's new home by participating in our $935,000 Capital Campaign! The Cornell Radio Guild, which owns WVBR, is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

From the Mouths of WVBR
Student Staff & Alumni

"By being at 604 East Buffalo, WVBR will be more accessible for the Ithaca community; therefore to some we will be more relevant. I believe that this will lead to greater inclusion in community efforts, leading to better sales opportunities and promotional sponsorships."
Rebecca Greene '13
Promotions Director

"My WVBR experience is one of the most enjoyable centers of my Cornell life. Moving to 604 East Buffalo will make it the physical center of my everyday life and will bring radio and music even closer to Cornellians' and Ithacans' hearts."
Gizem Sakalli '15
Marketing Director

"We've seen growing interest in video broadcasting on the [WVBR] website. But with the limited space at the station, it's just not very reasonable. The new space will ensure that students get the training they're looking for, and the website will have more incredible content. One of our videos already has 15,000 views - imagine the possibilities with a proper video studio!"
Michael Mallon '14
News Director

"This has been a dream of so many students for many years, and I am so happy that this current exec has made it happen!"
Kara Capelli '09

"WVBR has always been committed to developing the talents of students in every area of broadcasting, and a modern, upgraded space will advance that mission greatly. I'm eager to contribute in any way I can."
Dan Powers '10

"Since moving out to East Hill Plaza, the station has seen challenges in the way of recruitment, student transportation, and creating a social environment. I'm incredibly happy and excited to support a move back to Collegetown and the resurgence of WVBR as (FM 93) the place to be for students!"
David Dytang '12

"As someone who spent a large portion of his undergraduate time at the Mitchell St. studios, this move is a dream come true. I can't even begin to imagine the massive positive effect this move will have on our ability to recruit and educate the next generation of leaders in media."
Jordan Gremli '08
