Bob Turner enters New York Senate race
Another republican candidate, Bob Turner announced his candidacy for the Senate. He enters a crowded race against current New York Senator and democrat Kirstin Gillibrand. Turner is in his first congressional term representing Queens. Turner joined the House after the photo scandal surrounding democrat Anthony Weiner, who later resigned.
Turner entered the race late. Three relatively unknown republican candidates have started to campaign. Despite his timing, Turner many get the backing of many New York GOP officials in the near future.
