After helping to raise more than five million dollars for an extensive renovation of Ithaca’s Hanger Theater, executive director Lisa Bushlow announced that she would resign at the end of this year to pursue new professional opportunities. Current artistic director Peter Flynn will remain in his role. Bushlow joined the Hanger Theater 24 years ago as a stage management intern while an undergraduate at Cornell. After spending a semester at the Kennedy Theater in Washington, D.C. Bushlow returned to Hanger and was appointed the education director before stepping into her current role in 2001. The theater will conduct a national search to fill the position of managing director.
