Matthew Taranto Trial Underway

The murder trial of Matthew Taranto, who is accused of shooting his father Salvatore in November of 2010 in Trumansberg, began yesterday with the prosecution presenting their side of the case. Taranto is charged with second-degree murder, while the defense will try to prove Taranto acted in self-defense after years of emotional abuse from his father. Taranto is diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.
