The Cornell University Police assisted the Ithaca Police Department with two separate disturbances early Sunday morning. The first occurred around 2:30 on University Avenue, when the CUPD arrived at a Frat house to investigate a report of residents throwing bottles at pedestrians while shouting racial slurs. The IPD is currently conducting a full investigation, and the fraternity has been placed under interim suspension. The second incident occurred about an hour later when both squads tended to a fight on Thurston Avenue. The three individuals have no affiliation with Cornell University. One was arrested; the other two were treated for head injuries. Witnesses with additional information should call the Ithaca Police at 272-9933 or the Cornell Police at 255-1111.
