Swine flu continues to plague Cornell and surrounding areas. Even as H1N1 vaccine has become available in Tompkins County, The Cornell Daily Sun reports that Gannett Health Services at Cornell is still diagnosing 20 to 25 new cases of Swine Flu daily.
As of Monday, a total of 1,628 Cornell students had been confirmed to have the disease. However, Gannett officials are working diligently to combat the illness, having vaccinated upwards of 2000 people against H1N1 and nearly 6,000 against regular seasonal flu.
More help is on the way as Gannett expected to receive a shipment of 1,000 more H1N1 doses this weekend. Concerned citizens and members of the Cornell community can get more information by calling the University flu line at (607) 255-0101.
