DJ LAZER IS COMING TO CORNELL!
As previously reported, DJ duo Major Lazer will put on a perform in Barton Hall on March 11, the Cornell Concert Commission will announce today. DJ Lazer, which is made up of DJs Diplo and Switch, were introduced after they both were working with hip-hop artist M.I.A.. The duo released their first album in 2009, which was entitled, Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do. DJ Lazer’s music can be classified as Jamaican dancehall genre , and they are known for producing such great dance tunes hits like “Pon de Floor,” and “Hold the Line”.
In political news, Dean Skelos, the Senate leader in the state of New York, says population losses show redistricting could terminate one congressional seat in in New York City and in western New York. Skelos says that while there are many possibilities when it comes to eliminating congressional seats, those two areas are most at risk. New York, like many other northeastern states, is in jeopardy of losing congressional seats.
