Vintage vinyl from the 60's, 70's, 80's and beyond. The Vinyl Departure is an amalgam of all the  weekend shows here on WVBR: blues, soul, oldies, classic rock, country, folk, and the music that made FM radio matter! With special guest hosts.

The "Free-Form" format hearkens back to the pioneering days of early FM Radio, when you never quite knew what you might hear but it was always compelling and intriguing. This two-hour stretch gives hosts of all of our Specialty Shows a chance to step out of their traditional genres. Folk, Psychedlia, punk, Country, Jazz.... Tune in for 2 hours of "a magical mystery mix-tape" of sorts, where anything is possible!
