Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes to Hold a Walk-Run Fundraiser Over the July 4th Weekend

Writer: Grace FairchildGrace Fairchild

When a global pandemic rears its head, what happens to Ithacans with cancer who were already in the midst of a personal health crisis?

The Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes provides holistic, individualized support to people with cancer and those directly affected by cancer, and they have not let the pandemic slow their operations. Sharon Kaplan is the Cancer Resource Center’s Director of Volunteer Services, and she took the time to speak to me about their virtual services, their community value, and their upcoming virtual Walk & Run fundraiser taking place over the Fourth of July weekend.
