An online event showcasing exceptional items from Chamber member businesses
[ELMIRA, NY] – The Chemung County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its 10th Annual Showcase Online Auction. Perfect for holiday shopping, the auction opened to the public for bidding at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1 and will close at 10:00 p.m. on Cyber Monday, December 2. To join the fun, visit auction.chemungchamber.org.
Featuring more than 100 items from businesses across the Southern Tier, the auction showcases the outstanding goods and services Chamber members have to offer. “From unique gift baskets and beautiful clothing, to travel experiences, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, and much more, Showcase has attracted collectors and enthusiasts for a decade now,” says Kamala Keeley, President and CEO of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce. “The event is a marvelous opportunity to acquire some exciting and rare gifts from local businesses.”
Proceeds from this fundraiser support Chamber events and programming throughout the year, and help sustain the Chamber’s mission to enhance economic well-being and quality of life throughout the region. The auction coincides with the Shop Small campaign, a nationwide movement to celebrate small businesses and to help communities thrive and stay vibrant. The Shop Small campaign is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary, as 2019 marks the 10th Annual Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 30. “Consumers play a key part in helping local businesses and economies survive and thrive,” Kamala Keeley explains.
“Statistics prove locally-owned businesses return a much larger portion of their revenue back into the local economy compared with ‘big box’ stores.”
The Chamber invites the public to celebrate local businesses and support the Chamber’s mission to represent the business community in the promotion of the prosperity and the quality of life throughout its service area.
