Many kids get their most nutritious meals at school, and in the summer, Tompkins County offers free breakfast and lunch to make sure children get fed, starting July 1st in Ithaca and Groton and July 8th in Dryden.
Free meals are for kids 18 and younger, and no registration or paperwork is required.
In Ithaca, Northside Community Center has breakfast 8-10:30 and lunch 11-1:30 until August 30th, and Southside Community Center starts July 8th with breakfast 8:30-9:30 and lunch from 12-2 until August 16th.
Dryden Elementary school has lunch weekdays from 12:15-12:45 from July 8th to August 12th. There's lunch weekdays at Little Creek Trailer Park from 11:40-12:10, and Poet's Landing from 12:55-1:25, July 8th to August 23rd.
Groton Public Library has lunches 11:30-12:30 until August 30th, and Groton's Sykes Park has deli-style meals 11:30-12:30 weekdays. Groton Junior/Senior High has hot breakfast 7:45-9:15 and lunch 11:15-12:15 until August 9th.
