(Ithaca, NY) Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties (TCHFH) is looking for homebuyers! They will be taking applications for Tompkins County homes from July 1 – August 31, 2019.
See www.tchabitat.com for details on the income guidelines and the application process. Interested applicants may call 607-844-3529 or email Family Services Coordinator Liz Warner at liz@tchabitat.com with questions.
Habitat homebuyers help build their homes and pay an affordable mortgage. TCHFH serves first-time homebuyers under 60% of the area median income (for example, $50,340 gross annual income for a household of 4 in Tompkins County – see www.tchabitat.com/homeownership/ for full guidelines), and will be evaluated on need, ability to pay and willingness to partner. Renters with Section 8 assistance may be able to take advantage of the Section 8 Homeownership Program. TCHFH does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familiar status or national origin.
Funding for this project has been provided by: a Community Housing Development Fund grant (a joint effort of Tompkins County, the City of Ithaca and Cornell University), and the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation.
