ITHACA— Tompkins County Public Library invites people ages 12 and up to learn the Japanese art of amigurumi Wednesday, July 31, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm, in the Library’s Makerspace.
People attending this program will be introduced to amigurumi, the Japanese art of creating small, stuffed sculptural objects and dolls through knitting or crocheting. Phoebe Wyllyamz of WonkyCrafter will be available to guide participants, whether they are complete beginners or total pros.
A selection of basic yarn, crochet hooks, and stuffing will be provided, but participants can feel free to bring their own materials as well.
This free program is open to people ages 12 and up. No registration is required.
