ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to host a poetry reading and book launch with Rosaire Karij on Sunday, September 22 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room East. TCPL will host local poet Rosaire Karij for a reading from her new book, “Bone Song.” This collection contains poems of jubilation and sorrow, and everything in between—the experience of finding the unifying threads of existence that sometimes make the bones sing. Rosaire Karij grew up in New York City in a large extended family of Czech and Irish ancestry. She began writing poetry seriously in her forties, as part of a midlife journey that continues to this day. This program is free and open to the public. For more information about this and other programming at TCPL, or to inquire about accommodations for full and comfortable participant engagement, contact Information and Learning Services at 607 272-4557, extension 260, or at tvadakin@tcpl.org.
