ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library invites tweens to participate in a Board Game Club, Mondays, September 23, October 7 and 21, November 4 and 18, and December 2, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room West.
At this program, tweens ages 8 to 12 will explore and learn new board games each week with Mike Timonen, local board game aficionado. There is a variety of games for participants to try. Tweens will learn strategic thinking skills and have fun at the same time.
Michael Timonen has an advanced degree in US History, and experience teaching students at many levels. He enjoys board games and thinks they offer a way to teach life skills in a fun, low-stakes way.
No registration is required for this free, drop-in series.
