The Sciencenter has partnered with Tompkins County Public Library to provide patrons free access to the nationally recognized, hands-on science museum.
TCPL now has one Explorer membership pass that patrons can check out for one week. When visiting the Sciencenter, patrons will need to show the pass along with their library card to gain access for themselves and members of their household.
"We are very excited to partner with the Tompkins County Public Library to offer a Sciencenter membership for circulation. Through our community-driven Strategic Framework, we identified accessibility as an area of focus for the Sciencenter. And partnerships like this one with Tompkins County Public Library allow us to expand opportunities for everyone to engage with science and cultivate a broad community of curious, confident, critical thinkers," said Sciencenter's Executive Director, Dean Briere.
The Sciencenter pass is the latest addition to TCPL’s Library of Things, a collection of non-traditional items that can be borrowed by patrons for use both inside the library and out in the community.
