TCPL Offers Class in Basics of Adobe Illustrator

ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to offer a workshop in the basics of Adobe Illustrator Thursday, August 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the Library’s Digital Lab. Graphic designer Annie Aldag will lead this fun introduction to Adobe Illustrator. Participants will learn to use the select and draw tools, as well as gaining some familiarity with tracing and vector images. Participants will then have the opportunity to design icons of an animal and a donut. These skills are applicable to designing images that are suitable for laser cutting. Participants are expected to be experienced with using the basic tools of the Mac operating system X; using a keyboard and mouse; and accessing, importing, and saving files.
