TCPL to Offer Course in Slow Flow Yoga

ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to offer a series of Slow Flow Yoga classes, Fridays, September 13 through October 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room West. This Slow Flow style yoga class, taught by Kris Altucher, is adaptable for different levels of fitness and will involve sitting on a mat and standing up from the floor. Participants should wear comfortable clothes they can move and stretch in, and bring their own yoga mat or a towel, if possible. A few mats will be available for use at the class. Kris Altucher has found joy, calm and freedom in yoga for nearly ten years. She recently completed a 200-hour teacher training in Vinyasa Flow at Mighty Yoga in Ithaca. Kris believes that yoga has something to offer all of us, at all stages of life and fitness, and she’s eager to help others explore yoga. This program is free and open to the public. Space is limited, and registration is required. Each session requires registration. Prompt cancellation is requested if a registrant discovers they will not be able to attend. To register for the September 13 session, go to www.tcpl.org/events/slow-flow-yoga-2. Register for September 20 here: www.tcpl.org/events/slow-flow-yoga.
