ITHACA— Tompkins County Public Library will be transformed into a jazz age speakeasy for a fundraising event on Friday, October 11 from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.
At this ticketed event, guests will use a password to enter using the “secret” back library entrance. Upon entry, they will be immersed in the uproarious decade of the 1920s, where they will enjoy craft cocktails provided by Bar Argos, desserts by Serendipity Catering, live jazz provided by the Ithaca New Music Collective, dancing, games, and a Wharton Studio silent film, all in support of the programs and services TCPL provides to the community.
Tickets are $30 per person and include one drink ticket and five tokens. To purchase tickets, go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/speakeasy-tickets-66689150043 or www.tcplfoundation.org/shhh. Made possible with support from eCornell, Emily Doyle, Licensed Real Estate Broker with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, and Wegmans.
